Growing Together

Ministry for Every Stage of Life

Ministry at St Andrew's grows from worship into the everyday needs of our congregation and neighbours. We seek to teach children, encourage youth, support families, visit the sick, pray with those who are burdened, and create spaces where faith can mature through friendship and service.

Children and youth ministry activity at St Andrew's

Children & Youth Ministry

Children and youth are a valued part of church life, not an afterthought. Seasonal Sunday School, youth fellowship, and family-oriented programs help young people learn the stories of Scripture, ask honest questions, and build relationships across generations.

We aim to create a safe, thoughtful, and joyful environment where children can grow in faith and families can feel supported. Special seasonal gatherings also give young people opportunities to participate in worship, community service, and fellowship.

Women's ministry fellowship at St Andrew's

Women's Ministry

Women's ministry provides space for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and mutual care. These gatherings strengthen friendships and help participants encourage one another in the responsibilities and seasons of daily life.

Through prayer circles, conversation, hospitality, and practical acts of care, women in the congregation help sustain a culture of attentiveness. Their ministry is one of listening, wisdom, service, and faithful presence.

Pastoral care and prayer ministry at St Andrew's

Pastoral Care & Prayer

Pastoral care is one of the quiet strengths of a local church. Through home visits, hospital care, grief support, prayer, and personal conversation, we seek to walk with people during ordinary days and difficult seasons.

Prayer ministry reminds us that the needs of the congregation are held before God. We pray for the sick, the grieving, families, neighbours, leaders, and those seeking direction, trusting that God's care is present in both comfort and challenge.

Community Outreach

St Andrew's seeks to be a good neighbour in Hillsburgh and the surrounding rural communities. Outreach includes seasonal care projects, local food support, practical help for families, and participation in community events.

Our desire is to serve with dignity and consistency. We look for ways to respond to local needs, cooperate with area partners, and remind people that the church is present for the good of the whole community.

Music and worship arts at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church

Music & Worship Arts

Music supports the gathered worship of the church through congregational singing, special music, and instrumental accompaniment. We value hymns and songs that carry biblical truth with beauty and clarity, helping the congregation pray and praise together.
