What to Expect

Reverent, Welcoming, and Rooted in Scripture

Worship at St Andrew's is shaped by the classic rhythms of the Reformed tradition: the reading of Scripture, prayer, congregational singing, preaching, and blessing. We gather to hear God's Word, respond in faith, and encourage one another for the week ahead.

Visitors will find a congregation that values reverence without coldness and welcome without pressure. Services often include hymns, pastoral prayer, Scripture readings, and a sermon that seeks to explain and apply the biblical text. The Lord's Supper is celebrated at appointed times during the year, with care and gratitude for Christ's promise to his people.

Children are welcome in worship, and families may ask about seasonal Sunday School and youth opportunities. Whether you are familiar with Presbyterian worship or attending church for the first time in many years, our hope is that you will encounter a community centered on the grace of Jesus Christ.

Sacraments

Baptism and the Lord's Supper

In the Presbyterian Church, Baptism and the Lord's Supper are received as sacraments instituted by Christ. Baptism marks God's covenant promise and the belonging of his people. The Lord's Supper nourishes faith as the church remembers Christ's saving work and receives his grace with thanksgiving.

These practices are not isolated ceremonies. They are part of the church's worship, teaching, pastoral care, and life together. If you have questions about Baptism, Communion, membership, or what it means to follow Christ in the Presbyterian tradition, we would be glad to speak with you.

For Visitors

Everyone Is Welcome

You do not need to have everything figured out before walking through the doors. Some people come with long experience in church. Others come with questions, grief, gratitude, curiosity, or a simple desire to reconnect with Christian community. There is room for you here.

Our worship service begins at 10:30 AM on Sunday. The church is located at 83 Trafalgar Road in Hillsburgh. For details about accessibility, seasonal programs, pastoral care, or upcoming events, please contact us and we will respond as promptly as possible.
